THE FINAL SEASON
June 2024 will mark the closing of THE DANCE CENTER OF WALLA WALLA. We will bid farewell to 42 years of Idalee Hutson-Fish enriching the lives od the community with performing arts and the highest form of technical ballet training.

THE LEGACY
Idalee Hutson-Fish, Founder and Director of The Dance Center of Walla Walla has created a lasting impact on the community through her years of dedication to the performing arts community in Walla Walla, WA. In 1976, the first performance at the Fort Walla Walla Amphitheater brought her here to perform. Since, she has taught at Whitman College, choreographed, directed, and taught thousands of students the gift of dance.

She has the beautiful ability to inspire the soul as well as the body through the art of ballet. We want our dancers to “dance from inside out”
THE FUTURE OF DANCE
WALLA WALLA SUMMER THEATRE
The Dance Center space will be occupied starting July 1, 2024 by the Walla Walla Summer Theatre, a non-profit group offering performing arts opportunities, classes and workshops, a our sponsor for The Final Bow performance. They are revitalizing the Walla Walla Amphitheater which was the very reason that brought Idalee to Walla Walla, coming to a full circle moment to pass off her legacy.

WASHINGTON BALLET ACADEMY
On July, 1, 2024, The Washington Ballet Academy, founded by faculty member Caleb Leitch will open here in Walla Walla. Their mission is to enrich the lives of children through training in and performing classical ballet. With a vision is to change the lives of children and community members through dance training and performances. Offering a variety of schedules and levels to cater to different skills and availability ages 5+.
